First IX from English Premier League

Fans, according to Goal.com’s Alan Dawson, he has rounded up the English Premier League’s form players and slots them into his Best XI of the season so far. They will be using formation 4-3-3. Here is the list;

Goalkeepers

Ross Turnbull (Middlesbourgh)

Defense

Glen Johnson (Portsmouth)

Brede Hangeland (Fulham)

Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)

Gael Clichy (Arsenal)

Midfield

Stephen Ireland (Manchester City)

Frank Lampard (Chelsea)

Xabi Alonso (Liverpool)

Attack

Robinho (Manchester City)

Ashley Young (Aston Villa)

Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea)

SECOND XI (Formation: 4-3-3)

Goalkeeper
Scott Carson (West Bromwich Albion)

Defense
Jose Bosingwa (Chelsea)
Michael Turner (Hull City)
Martin Laursen (Aston Villa)
Ashley Cole (Chelsea)

Midfield
John Obi Mikel (Chelsea)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Rory Delap (Stoke City)

Attack
Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
Antonio Valencia (Wigan Athletic)
Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)

There is an argument that Cristiano Ronaldo deserved to be on the First IX instead of the Second IX. What do you think??

i would say.. anelka in second eleven
swap with agbonlahor

anelka has done nothing special apart from tapping in.. credit to him for being there.. that s why second eleven

insert zaki in second eleven

valencia first eleven in midfield instead of alonso

also gerrard should be in first.. he s in gr8 form and has won matches for pool

but that s an opinion :)
