David Beckham will start in his San Siro debut for AC Milan on Saturday against Fiorentina.
“Beckham will play from the first minute,” Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said in his weekly news conference Friday at Milan’s training center.
Beckham also started his first official game with Milan last weekend, playing 89 minutes in a 2-2 draw at AS Roma.
The former England captain is on loan for two months from the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beckham is hoping to stay in shape during the MLS offseason and maintain his spot on England’s national team under coach Fabio Capello.
Ancelotti said he was pleased with Beckham’s performance against Roma.
